In the remote Northwestern Nepal district of Humla, a child’s trek to school is often over rough and mountainous terrain.

Families have very few financial resources, so many times children show up to school with nothing other than themselves: no backpack, no school supplies, and no lunch – just a young mind wanting to learn.

As a way to support these children and make it possible for even more children in remote areas to attend school, our goal is to provide 1,800 backpacks in 2017, filled with a Bible and vital school supplies like pencils, notebooks, erasers, and school uniforms.

Backpacks also include basic hygiene items like soap, a toothbrush, toothpaste, and a comb.

Having the right tools in place makes it possible for a child to focus on the important job of learning and gives hardworking parents one less expense to worry about.

$40 provides one backpack filled with supplies. Will you give to make a big impact in a child’s life?
