Paul lives with his parents and four siblings in the small community of Doblogonno in the greater Accra region of Ghana. His father is a pastor and his mother is a seamstress. Their income is low and and they are unable send Paul to school while meeting the needs of their large family. Paul likes to draw and he loves to play soccer with his friends during break time at school. Paul depends on the food served at school as he often comes to school on an empty stomach.
An education is so important in Ghana because it helps to break the cycle of poverty. Families in our sponsorship program earn such a low income that they are struggling to send their child to school. At the International Needs school children receive a meal, quality education, school supplies, medical care, and Christian nurture.
