Philipa lives in a block house with no electricity or running water in the small community of Doblogonno, in the Greater Accra region of Ghana. Her father does not have a job and her mother sells items in the village as a petty trader. Her income is very low and she is cannot afford to send Philipa to school.
An education is so important because it helps to break the cycle of poverty and give hope for a brighter future. Sponsorship provides children with an education, a school uniform and supplies, a warm meal, medical care, and they are lovingly taught the word of God at the International Needs School in Doblogonno, Ghana.
