Lawrence lives with his parents and his five siblings in the village of Buikwe, in Uganda. His father does not have a steady job so he finds work when he can, and his mother is a homemaker. The family income is very low and unsteady and they need help sending Lawrence to school.
The family lives in a country plagued by poverty, famine, malaria, and AIDS. An education will help Lawrence to break free from poverty so he can have hope for a future free from poverty. Sponsorship provides children with food, clothing, a Christian education, medical check-ups, biblical teaching, and Christian nurture.
Lawrence helps at home by washing dishes.
