Samiul lives with his parents and his brother in a one-room hut made from tin, dry leaves, and bamboo in a slum area of Bangladesh. His father is a rickshaw driver, but because he doesn’t own his own bicycle he has to give most of his income to the owner as rent. The family income is very low and they are struggling to support their family and cannot afford to send Samiul to school.
An education is so important because it helps to break the cycle of poverty and give hope for a brighter future. Sponsorship provides children with an education, a school uniform and supplies, a warm meal, medical care, and they are lovingly taught the word of God at the International Needs Banasri Slum School in Bangladesh.
