Michaell Ruiz Velasquez
Michaell walks a long distance to school every day. She lives with her parents and brother in her grandparents’ house in a slum called La Playa, on the outskirts of Barranquilla. The house is made of cement and their yard is sand. The house has water, electricity, and natural gas. Her father works in security and her mother is a housewife. Their income is not consistent and therefore, Michaell needs support as her parents do not have the resources to send her to school
La Rosa de Saron is an educational outreach to a displaced community suffering from poverty and persecution. Children at the school receive a quality education, school uniforms, and health care. They are lovingly taught the Word of God.
