Favour lives with her parents and her siblings in the small community of Agave-Kuve, in the Volta region of Ghana. The family lives in a mud house with an iron sheet for a roof and must access their drinking water from the river. Her father is a farmer and her mother sells items in the village as a petty trader, but their income is very low.
An education is so important in Ghana because it helps to break the cycle of poverty. At the International Needs school in Agave-Kuve, children would receive a warm meal, a quality education, school supplies, medical care, and Christian nurture.
