Hayiratu lives with his parents and four siblings in the small community of Doblogonno, the the greater Accra region of Ghana. Her father is unemployed and her mother sells and trades small items in the market. Her mothers income is low and unstable and she is unable provide for the family. Hayiratu is hardworking and she needs support to attend school.
An education is so important in Ghana because it helps to break the cycle of poverty. Families in our sponsorship program earn such a low income that they are struggling to send their child to school. At the International Needs school children receive a warm meal, quality education, school supplies, medical care, and Christian nurture.
