Mawuli lives in a community called Adjei Kotoku, about 6 kilometers from his school. He lives with his parents and three siblings in a small single room. Mawuli’s parents are unable to support their son with the necessary funds to help him complete his education. He walks to school every day and sometimes comes to school without eating. Supporting Mawuli will help him complete his education.
An education is so important in Ghana because it helps to break the cycle of poverty. Families in our sponsorship program earn such a low income that they are struggling to send their child to school. At the International Needs school in Doblogonno, children would receive a warm meal, a quality education, school supplies, medical care, and Christian nurture.
