Eshan lives with his parents and his older sister in the city of Siliguri, in West Bengal, India. His father is a driver and his mother works as a laborer in a tea garden. The family income is very low and unsteady and they need help sending Eshan to school. An education is so important because it helps to break the cycle of poverty and give hope for a brighter future.
The International Needs project in Siliguri assists Nepali children living in India. The children receive assistance with schooling costs, books, equipment, uniforms, and medical care. They also receive food, Christian nurture, and Bible teaching.
