Lakshya lives with his parents and his younger brother in a stone house with a tin roof in the village of Siliguri, India. His parents both work as laborers in a tea garden but their income is very low and they need help sending Lakshya to school. An education is so important because it helps to break the cycle of poverty and give hope for a brighter future.
The International Needs project in Siliguri assists Nepali children living in India. The children receive assistance with schooling costs, books, equipment, uniforms, and medical care. They also receive food, Christian nurture, and Bible teaching.
