Swarna Shree Rai
Swarna lives with her parents and three other family members in the city of Siliguri, in West Bengal, India. Her father works in a hardware shop and her mother is a housewife, but their income is very low and they need help sending Swarna to school. An education is so important because it helps to break the cycle of poverty and give hope for a brighter future.
The International Needs project in Siliguri assists Nepali children living in India. The children receive assistance with schooling costs, books, equipment, uniforms, and medical care. They also receive food, Christian nurture, and Bible teaching.
