Simon lives with his mother and his six siblings. His father passed away and his mother works hard selling vegetables but her income is very low and she is struggling to support her large family and send Simon to school. An education is so important because it helps break the cycle of poverty.
Orphans and children who still have their parents attend school at the Misaka Home. Children in the International Needs Zambia sponsorship program receive a quality education, school supplies, a uniform, shoes and a backpack, a blanket, medical care, and spiritual care. Their families also receive monthly food baskets and spiritual and financial counseling.
