Recently, an International Needs team from Sano Diyo in India made the difficult trek into the Darjeeling region of the country.

August 10th was the 55th day of indefinite strikes in that area. Every school, office, shop, and transportation service remains closed.

Prasanna and Arpana Khaling, directors of the Sano Diyo program in India, had heavy hearts as they thought about the children suffering in the Darjeeling villages. No school. Not enough food. No end in sight.

So with the Lord’s prompting, Prasanna led a team on a dangerous journey into the region to provide essential relief supplies and spiritual encouragement.

Read Prasanna’s inspiring, photo-filled update here. Don’t miss page 4 where Prasanna shares how parents and teachers have worked to keep the kid’s studies going even while the schools are closed.

Because of the Lord’s faithfulness and your prayer and financial support, International Needs workers like Prasanna are able to go into the places where others are reluctant to go.

Prasanna and our many other partners around the world are so thankful for you and we echo this thanks. Your faith and encouragement are vital to this ministry and we remain grateful for you and your support.

In His Service,

International Needs USA Team
