One Chance IN Uganda

The Problem
In Uganda, poverty is widespread, and many parents cannot afford school fees for their children. As a result, girls are often forced into domestic work, while boys labor in sugarcane plantations. Without access to education, children face high rates of illiteracy, child marriage, teenage pregnancy, and unemployment.

The Program
The Uganda Group Empowerment Program partners with families and community leaders to prioritize the growth and development of orphans and vulnerable children. This holistic initiative nurtures the whole child by promoting education, health, social and life skills, and spiritual growth. Promoting education of vulnerable children is an effective way of empowering households and transforming communities.
