Statement of Faith
- We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God.
- We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons–Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
- We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His personal return to power and glory.
- We believe that for the salvation of the lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
- We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
- We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
- We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in Christ.
Our History
In the early 1970s, International Needs founder Ray Harrison went to a global evangelism conference and left fired up with a bold idea for how to do ministry differently.
Ray’s vision was simple but powerful. Instead of sending missionaries overseas, he imagined an organization that would come alongside Christian leaders already doing great work in their own countries. The goal? To support and equip them with the tools and resources they needed to keep serving their communities even more effectively. This idea became the foundation for International Needs.
At the time, this was a radical shift in the prevailing viewpoint on global missions. Since International Needs launched in 1974, many other organizations have followed a similar approach.
Today, International Needs continues that same approach. We support partners worldwide to create ministry plans that are specific to each country and the local communities within it.
Every community is unique, so there’s no one-size-fits-all solution. Local leaders guide us on what’s truly needed, and ministry programs are designed around those specific needs, always led by the people who know their communities best.
