Nades Church Renovation Project

Give Today

International Needs Romania is renovating and repurposing the historic Nădeș Fortified Church in the heart of Transylvania to become a strategic regional center for evangelism, discipleship, and compassionate outreach. Built more than 700 years ago, this citadel once stood as a place of refuge and spiritual guardianship. Today, it is being reimagined as a living testimony of God’s ongoing work, equipping believers and reaching those who have never heard the Gospel.

The Nădeș Center will serve as a hub for church planting, leadership development, and coordinated mission efforts among unreached Romanians, the Roma (Gypsy) population, and Ukrainian refugees. Located near Sighișoara, the center sits within reach of hundreds of towns and villages with little or no evangelical presence and supports a region where International Needs Romania already has active ministries.

Once renovated, the Citadel will provide permanent space for churches, after-school and feeding programs for Roma and Ukrainian children, refugee care, evangelism training, conferences, and cultural engagement initiatives. By bringing these ministries together under one roof, the Nădeș Center will strengthen collaboration, expand capacity, and accelerate Gospel impact across Romania and neighboring regions.

Rooted in history yet focused on the future, the Nădeș Center stands as a beacon of hope, preserving a sacred legacy while advancing the mission of Christ for generations to come.
