COUNTRIES WE SERVE

IN Kenya

Country Overview

IN Kenya serves in the country’s capital, Nairobi, where two of Africa’s largest slums are located — Kibera and Kawangware. Kibera is the largest slum in Africa, with over a quarter million people living in an area of about 1.5 square miles. These slums are also home to 60,000 street children. Because poverty and lack of access to education are prevalent issues in Kenya, child labor is common, and many girls are subject to prostitution.

The majority of IN Kenya’s ministries serve these children and families.
