COUNTRIES WE SERVE
IN Romania
Country Overview
Romania found freedom and democracy after the revolution of 1989. Economic gains have been made, but there is still widespread poverty and corruption. Recently, Romania was declared the poorest member of the European Union.
Only 6% of the population is evangelical so there is a great need for church planting, village evangelism, and Christian leadership development. An encouraging growth of churches among the Gypsy (Roma) population has been especially active in recent years, which some refer to as a hidden revival.
Sharing the longest border with Ukraine has meant an influx of refugees fleeing the war with Russia. Evangelical churches have responded and welcomed in refugees and continue looking for ways to support the displaced.

After the fall of communism, Doru followed the call of God into full-time Christian ministry, graduated from Emmanuel Baptist University, and soon after, took over the Fontanelle Baptist church.
