COUNTRIES WE SERVE
IN Slovakia
Country Overview
Slovakia is a landlocked country in Central Europe with a population of over five million people. It became a post-communist country when the collapse of the communist regime occurred in 1989.
The Roma, commonly known as Gypsies, are the largest ethnic minority group in Europe and make up approximately 10% of the population. They live in severe poverty with high rates of unemployment, alcoholism, and gambling. The Gypsy people often feel isolated and forgotten.
