Country Overview

Sri Lanka has a population of 22.16 million people, of which 6.2 million are under the age of 18. The country is known for its natural beauty with luscious greenery, beautiful peaks boasting the rich and famous Ceylon teas, long stretches of sandy beaches, and hospitable individuals quick to share a smile and a meal.

These all hide a dark side, an ongoing struggle across the island nation. Affected by long years of war, many natural disasters, terrorist attacks, and poor decision making at its highest levels, the country’s impoverished population continues growing.

IN Sri Lanka’s focus is to see sustainable change within communities so that the next generation is able to continue to affect positive change and realize their full God-given potential.

Partner Bio

Naren Dharmanandan

Naren has served for over 25 years as a pastor and is the founder and co-chair of Manifest Kingdom, a ministry focused on training and empowering Christian leadership across the country. Naren also brings experience from the private sector having served as a Director Consultant for various development programs.

Naren has a passion to serve IN Sri Lanka and to see the ministry grow and accomplish its calling and mission to spread the love and works of God throughout the nation, bringing true transformation in the name of Jesus.

Financially assist pastors with starting or enhancing micro businesses as an alternative source of income rather than depending on the limited contribution of their congregations. We also provide local pastors with the tools to observe, strategize, advocate, and reach the vulnerable in their communities.
