COUNTRIES WE SERVE
IN Turkey
Country Overview
Turkey hosts a large population with a predominately Muslim faith, but with a small yet vibrant Christian population. Strengthening the existing local church is a high priority, with training for
local pastors, discipleship programs, special events, and faith-based activities.
Turkey also hosts more Syrian refugees than any other country, with over 3.5 million Syrians calling Turkey their temporary home. International Needs looks at this situation and sees it as a tremendous opportunity to demonstrate the love of God and serve the poor.

Partner Bio
Antuan Gurun
Antuan Gurun is the Executive Director of International Needs Turkey. When he was a child, Antuan attended church regularly with his mother, participated in Christian camps, and church activities. He thought these actions meant he would go to heaven. Antuan’s mother shared the importance of giving Jesus his heart, not just going through the motions. Alongside his mother, Antuan prayed, inviting Jesus into his heart and accepting Him as his personal Lord and Savior.
Now, Antuan is married and he and his wife, Citadel, are the happy parents of two young sons. Antuan has a Master’s in Divinity in Biblical Studies. Both he and his wife see it as their calling to minister to singles, young couples, and families. They believe that if the local church is healthy, the transformation of the entire community will follow with the desire to glorify God.
