COUNTRIES WE SERVE
IN Zambia
Country Overview
Zambia is a landlocked country situated on a high plateau in south-central Africa. Zambia has managed to avoid the war and upheaval that has marked much of Africa’s post-colonial history, earning itself a reputation for political stability and relative transparency.
Despite its relative political stability, Zambia ranks among the countries with the highest level of inequality globally. 58% of Zambians earn less than $1.90 per day, and three-quarters of the poor live in rural areas.
The primary focuses of IN Zambia are providing educational assistance to orphans and vulnerable children, along with income-generation projects for people living in poverty.

The programs of International Needs Zambia provide educational assistance, agricultural income-generating projects, and spiritual and emotional training and support to families caring for orphans and vulnerable children.
Zambia has been ravaged by HIV/AIDS, with over a million people living with HIV/AIDS in this impoverished country. This has left behind many orphaned children who have lost one or both parents and have nobody able to care for them.
