Patience comes from a broken home and lives with her grandmother in a house made of mud in the Volta region of Ghana. Her grandmother is a farmer with a very low income, and she struggles to meet the basic needs of Patience and her siblings. She cannot afford Patience’s educational expenses. Patience dreams of being a nurse one day, and she needs assistance so that she can continue her schooling.
