In Memory of Rody

Former IN President Passes Away

Ladoyt (Rody) Rodeheaver

Rody faithfully served as President and CEO of International Needs USA for many years

It is with heavy hearts that we share our dear friend and brother in Christ, Ladoyt (Rody) Rodeheaver went home to his Lord and Savior on Saturday April 6, 2024.

Rody faithfully served as President and CEO of International Needs USA for many years and recently as President Emeritus for IN USA, continuously working with our ministry partners all over the world. Rody also served as a devoted member of our Board since 2023.

Rody devoted his life to impacting the world for Christ. He was passionate about evangelism and discipleship of people, education for children and vulnerable adults, and improving health, water and sanitation conditions in deprived communities. He served our partners with energy, enthusiasm, and devotion. His responsibilities often required availability at all hours and lengthy travel for him.

Rody was loved and beloved. He truly cared about people. Rody didn’t just provide leadership to INUSA. He knew our IN-Network family members by name and asked about them and regularly kept in touch with them and encouraged them even up to the last few months. He truly cared. Part of his legacy is certainly the strong, vibrant friendships he created with all his colleagues over the years – all around the world.

He treated everyone like family. And through his friendships and leadership, generations of lives were transformed, and entire communities were forever changed. Every encounter with Rody left you with a sense of hope; that something can be done, and God is in control.

Rody’s love for the Lord and passion for this ministry are evident to all who knew him. Rody’s advice, devotion, support, and genuine love for us is a testimony of his stewardship, leadership, and commitment as a Christian. We will forever be grateful to call him a true brother, friend, and partner.

Arrangements are being made through Cook Funeral Home. Click here to read the obituary.

The visitation for the family is set for Sunday, April 14 from 2-5pm at Cook Funeral Home in Grandville. The service will take place on Monday, April 15 at 11am with lunch following at First Evangelical Covenant Church. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers to give donations to International Needs. All donations will support the IN work in Turkey and Egypt, two of the ministries most dear to Rody’s heart.

Please hold his wife Kathy and their family in prayer. Kathy was Rody’s biggest supporter at home and in ministry and they will all need our prayers. The IN USA Staff and Board extends its deepest love, prayers, and sympathy to the Rodeheaver family.

In loving memory,

Jeff Johnson
